Commission Structure
italki's commission varies by lesson type:
- • Trial & Instant Lesson:0% commission
- • Single Lesson:21% commission
- • 5-Lesson Package:19% commission
- • 10-Lesson Package:17% commission
- • 15-Lesson Package:15% commission
- • 20-Lesson Package:15% commission
- • Group Class:30% commission
Our calculator uses an average of ~18% based on a typical mix of lesson types.
Commission Structure
Preply uses a tiered commission model that decreases as tutors accumulate more teaching hours:
- • 0-20 hours:33% commission
- • 21-50 hours:28% commission
- • 51-200 hours:25% commission
- • 201-400 hours:22% commission
- • 400+ hours:18% commission
Note: Preply takes 100% commission on the first trial lesson with any new student.
Commission Structure
ClassGap uses a tiered commission model based on total paid classes performed during the last year (or last two years for Legend level):
- • Beginner (less than 25 hours):32% commission
- • Intermediate (25-59 hours):27% commission
- • Advanced (60-299 hours):23% commission
- • Expert (300-499 hours):18% commission
- • Legend (500+ hours in last two years):16% commission
